Let users know how to prepare by including a list of ingredients with quantities and any tools or appliances needed.
Users: Find a Session
Search or browse to find the meal you want to cook. Sign up, read the preparation instructions, and gather your ingredients. Join your live session at its scheduled time and follow along as your home cook guides you through.
Home Cook: setup and technical tips
1. CAMERA PLACEMENT
Position your camera to capture your entire cooking station.
Users will need a clear and unobstructed view that is free of distractions. Your face and hands should always be in plain view.
To capture the best possible angle, use props like an adjustable stand, tripod, or even a stack of books to assist you.
2. CAMERA RESOLUTION
Use a high-resolution phone or computer camera (1080p or greater).
A high-resolution camera makes it easier for your users to follow along and helps showcase your cooking.
If you’re not sure of the resolution on your camera, search online for the pixel count of the model and make of your device.
3. LIGHT AND SOUND
Frontal lighting is extremely important when conducting your cooking session.
This means you need lights in front of you, positioned behind your camera, and shining directly and evenly onto you and your workspace.
Manipulate the lighting you have by moving the position of lamps, using a ring light, or a combination of the two. Make sure your microphone is working.
